When to use this tool
Use as soon as you think you have a claim — for unfair dismissal, discrimination, wrongful dismissal, or other employment claims. Most claims must be received by the tribunal within 3 months less 1 day of the act complained of. ACAS Early Conciliation is mandatory before you can issue a claim and pauses the clock.
Employment Tribunal Deadline Calculator
For unfair dismissal, this is usually your last day of employment. For discrimination, it is the date of the discriminatory act.
ACAS Early Conciliation (optional)
If you went through ACAS Early Conciliation, the clock is paused during the conciliation period. Enter the dates from your ACAS certificate (EC Number) to get an adjusted deadline.
