In the Education (Northern Ireland) Order 1998 (S.I. 1998/1759 (N.I. 13)) after Article 89 insert— Ulster Scots in education 89A It shall be the duty of the Department to encourage and facilitate the use and understanding of Ulster Scots in the education system.
