Who uses this form
Claimants who have received an admission from the defendant (N9A) or where the defendant has not responded within the permitted time (default judgment).
When to use it
Use to request judgment by default when the defendant has not filed a defence or acknowledgment of service after 14 days. Also use to accept or reject a defendant's admission or payment proposal.

File at the court that issued the claim form.

Common mistakes to avoid
Requesting default judgment before the 14-day response deadline has expired
Not including the correct daily rate of interest when claiming contractual or statutory interest
Rejecting a defendant's admission without checking whether the instalment offer is reasonable — the court may impose the defendant's terms if they are reasonable
Not specifying whether you want judgment for the full amount or only the admitted part
