The Wiltshire (Electoral Changes) (No. 2) Order 2024

This Order gives effect to recommendations made by Wiltshire Council (“ the Council ”) to the Local Government Boundary Commission for England for related alterations to the boundaries between a number of county electoral divisions within the Council’s area.

The alterations are a consequence of changes to parish boundaries and parish warding arrangements under the Wiltshire Council (Reorganisation of Community Governance) (No. 3) Order 2024, which was made by the Council under powers including section 86 of the Local Government and Public Involvement in Health Act 2007 (c. 28) . A physical copy of that Order is available for inspection at reasonable times at the offices of Wiltshire Council, County Hall, Bythesea Road, Trowbridge, Wiltshire BA14 8JN.

The changes provided for in article 3 and the Schedule apply to the elections to be held on the ordinary day of elections in 2025, and subsequent such elections (see article 1(3)).

A full impact assessment has not been produced for this instrument as no impact on the private, voluntary or public sectors is foreseen.
