Paragraph 7 (1) (a) of Schedule 5 to the Energy Prices Act 2022 (c. 44) provides that certain powers in that Act may only be exercised in the first period of 26 months to end after that Act was passed during the whole of which both the First Minister and deputy First Minister in Northern Ireland have held office.
Regulation 2 substitutes the period of 26 months in paragraph 7(1)(a) for a period of 6 years.
