When to use this tool
Use as soon as you are dismissed or given notice of dismissal to check whether you have qualifying rights. Many employees assume they cannot claim because they have less than two years' service โ but automatic unfair dismissal reasons (whistleblowing, pregnancy, trade union membership, health and safety) do not require any qualifying period. Use this checker before contacting ACAS.
